The American Style Red Ale came into popularity as a spin-off of the American Pale Ale style, with slightly heavier focus on creamy malts over hops, creating a full bodied, yet refreshing ale.
Dark as strong steeped red tea with a hazy body and slightly tinted head, The Gladstone Red Ale exudes aromas of red grapefruit and pine. Simcoe hops pair with Crystal malts to carry these flavours onto the tongue, leaving behind notes of caramel and toast. The medium body, moderate carbonation and mild bitterness encourage another quenching sip, or if the day is done, a second refreshing pint.
